Anthony Smith Chief Executive Officer, Founder

Anthony Smith

Born in New Zealand, Anthony moved to Perth, Australia when he was young. He built the first version of Insightly in six months from home after identifying a market need for a CRM solution focused on small business. He has previous experience designing and building customer relationship management software for enterprise use. Prior to Insightly, Anthony worked as a consultant for IBM, and as a software engineer for global mining consultancy Snowden.

Karl Laughton President and Chief Operating Officer

Karl Laughton

Karl is Insightly’s President and Chief Operating Officer. Karl joined Insightly in January 2015 from Cisco Systems, where he held a variety of positions within the corporate development and structured finance organizations, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and strategic buy side corporate deal making. Karl holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Davis.

Patrick Kaldawy Vice President, Engineering

Patrick Kaldawy

As Insightly's VP of Engineering, Patrick manages the Web, Mobile, QA, Ops, DB, and platform teams. His team is responsible for building, maintaining, and improving on Insightly's products and infrastructure. Patrick joined Insightly in 2014 as a senior engineer. He has more than 20 years of experience in building software and managing people. Holds a BS in Computer Science and Business Administration from Notre Dame University. He resides in Southern California with his family.

Elena Doudoukalova Vice President, People Operations

Elena Doudoukalova

Elena oversees Insightly’s human resources and recruiting functions as the company grows from 90 employees in Q1 2017 to more than 160 employees by Q1 2018. Prior to Insightly, Elena held a variety of human resources and recruiting roles at Facebook, Zynga, Robert Half and Sprint. Elena holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Drexel University.

David Osborne Chief Sales Officer

David Osborne

David has responsibility of global sales at Insightly. Prior to joining Insightly, he spent 12 years at Qualtrics (NASDAQ: XM) as one of the original employees and a founding member of the sales leadership team, scaling the business from <$10M revenue to $1B+ revenue. David lives in Utah with his family .

Chip House Chief Marketing Officer

Chip House

Chip is Insightly's Chief Marketing Officer. He is responsible for Insightly's marketing strategy, messaging, content, digital marketing, and lead generation for the company. Chip has over 20 years experience in senior marketing roles at fast-growth SaaS companies such as Digital River, ExactTarget (acquired by Salesforce in 2013), and most recently SharpSpring (acquired by Constant Contact in 2021). Chip lives in Minneapolis and holds a BA in Economics and Management at St. Olaf College, and MBA coursework at St. Thomas University, in St. Paul, MN.

Gordon Ritter Emergence Capital Partners, Board Member

Gordon Ritter

Gordon Ritter is a Founder and General Partner of Emergence. Prior to founding Emergence, he spent over 15 years founding and building companies which pioneered new markets including embedded web-based interfaces, server appliances, “On Demand” services for the SMB market and web-native application development. He led Emergence Capitals first investment, in the cloud leader Salesforce.com. Gordon was named to the Forbes’ Midas List of the top venture capital investors in 2007 and 2012. He currently sits on the boards of Lithium, Veeva, PivotLink and Top Hat Monocle. He has a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University where he rowed on the heavyweight crew. He also enjoys running, cycling, cross-country skiing, and mountaineering.

Gregg Brockway Board Member

Gregg Brockway

Gregg Brockway has a legacy of growing successful Internet companies and creating award-winning mobile experiences for customers. Brockway is the co-founder of two of the most recognized brands in travel: TripIt, the Webby award winner for design, and Hotwire, where he served as chief product officer. Expedia acquired Hotwire and Brockway became an executive at Expedia. He graduated from Dartmouth College and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.

Matt Holleran General Partner, Cloud Apps Capital Partners, Board Member

Matt Holleran

Matt is a recognized thought leader in the cloud business application market. He was the first venture capitalist to frame the Business Freemium and the Enterprise Cloud models. He is considered an expert in cloud platforms, marketplaces and ecosystems. Matt has 12 years of operating experience in successful business application companies including salesforce.com, 9 years of venture capital and private equity experience, and a highly relevant network. He has walked in the shoes of founding teams at each stage of a business application company’s development ‐ no customers, initial traction, scaling the team, market leadership, and global expansion.
