Online retailer provides 2.5M first responders with exclusive discounted products

Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, EMS, and other First Responders— there’s a special kind of person that answers the call to step up and serve their country at the national, state, and/or local level.

GovX believes this audience deserves to be thanked and recognized, so they built an online retail channel offering discounted merchandise and services exclusively for veteran members.

With 2.5 million members and growing, GovX’s existing method of tracking the retailer onboarding process—via spreadsheets—wasn’t cutting it. That’s when Amber Miller, SVP of eCommerce, began researching CRM tools. Given that GovX was a young company aiming to drive profitability, she focused on evaluating the functionality versus the total cost of various CRMs.

As new brands express interest in being featured on GovX, all the steps from importing SKUs, images, descriptions, and categories to setting pricing promotions and marketing efforts, are managed through Insightly’s workflow and pipeline capabilities.

Expanding membership through partnerships

GovX is looking to bring on more brands as they expand their membership through a Veterans Association Canteen Service partnership—potentially reaching nine million veterans. Insightly CRM will be instrumental in facilitating this expansion effort.
